The Target clothing return policy is not that different from other standard categories of Target. Normally, customers are allowed to return or exchange within 90 days of purchase with proof of payment or receipt. However, the holder of a Target RedCard may receive an extension of up to 120 days.

Target gives you one year to return the item if it gets damaged or you’re not satisfied anymore. This is if a brand is owned by Target.

Please remember that proof of purchase, which includes a receipt, digital barcode, or packing slip, must be brought with you to qualify. If you cannot do so, then you will be refunded with a merchandise return card that is usable in the store.

How Long Does it Take For Target to Make Refunds?

Upon bringing back an item to a Target retail outlet personally, you have the option to select the reimbursement approach. Target promptly reimburses your return using the initial payment method.

For items returned from your wishlist and in-store returns lacking the original packing slip, Target will issue Target gift cards. Alternatively, Target may reimburse the transaction as a merchandise return card, pending approval along with a valid ID.
